Applied to baked clay tiles, facing bricks and similar to give them tones that enhance their natural colour. They do not stain with food, oils, fats, spirits, water, mud and other debris and they are resistant to footmarks, washing, rubbing and use and THEY DO NOT FLAKE.

METHOD OF USE

  • Before application, let the work area dry completely (30 to 60 days, depending on ambient temperature).
  • Clean building debris using 1-part hydrochloric acid (aqua fortis, etc.) and 3 parts water and rinse thoroughly with water to remove all the acid residue (any residue would delay the drying process and properties).
  • Leave to dry thoroughly for 24 to 48 hours until there is no residue of water or moisture.

TREATED

MANUAL RUSTIC TERRACOTTA FLOORING

Use ‘high absorption’ synthetic oil for ceramics and brush on a generous, even first coat and leave to dry overnight (24 hours). Apply even second and third coats every 24 hours as normal. With the third coat it will be covered and glossy. In the case of high absorption, apply a fourth coat, but do not apply more coats than necessary. Yield of 250 to 400 grams per square metre.

REFURBISHMENT

Over the years, if there has been deterioration caused by heavy use and you want terracotta floorings that look new, clean them vigorously with detergent and water to remove dirt and grease and rinse thoroughly with water to completely remove all traces of the detergent. Leave to dry overnight. Apply just one coat of oil, but if they are very deteriorated, apply a second coat.

VERY IMPORTANT

BEFORE APPLYING, REMOVE ALL MOISTURE (incorrectly dried work area, waste water, washes, etc.). LEAVE TO DRY FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS BETWEEN EACH COAT. Otherwise, the results will be poor.

NOTE. The treatment is optional. The oil can be gloss or matt. The treatment is recommended for interiors. For exteriors, it must be more regular as the effect of the sun is very marked.
